The Sky is Leaden in the South: An Evocation Through Grey
The Sky is Leaden in the South: An Evocation Through Grey is a booklet to accompany an exhibition of work by Andrea Büttner, Helen Cammock, Lubaina Himid, Ellen Lesperance, Liliana Moro, Ruth Proctor, Charlotte Prodger and Lis Rhodes. The exhibition explores a dialogue between the artists’ works, weaving through myriad images and themes: the sea, the grid, shame, labour, violence, protest, presence, absence, and intimacy.

The booklet features a mixture of delicate, lightweight paper and an unusual flap that prevents it from being held comfortably in the hand, inviting the viewer to set it down to leaf through.
Typography is playfully laid out, reacting to the poetic content within.
