The 2020 lockdown period gave Fondazione Antionio Ratti time to review its historical archive from the past 35 years of events, publications and workshops. Recording and scanning a vast cultural programme involving personalities from the world of art, textiles and other creative fields, ready to share as a free biweekly digital release.

We designed an identity and templates for the series, REWIND, creating abstracted platforms to highlight whether the release is an audio recording, video, publication or artwork. Using bold, clashing colours to draw peoples attention to an email or social media post.

The series uses two Italian ‘archival’ inspired typefaces. The lead title is set in Cairoli, from the now defunct Nebiolo Foundry, and the body text is set in Regola, a contemporary take on geometric office type design.
